What is Chemical Free Water Conditioning? 

Chemical free water conditioning is a little different than water softening. This process is a treatment solution that is designed to reduce limescale buildup by modifying calcium ions rather that completely getting rid of them.

How is a Water Conditioner Different Than a Softener? 

While water softeners use ion exchange to remove hardness causing minerals from water, water conditioners “coat” the minerals instead, preventing them from building up on appliances, fixtures, and plumbing. You won’t see scale buildup when using a water conditioner, but you’ll still be able to see hardness minerals in any water hardness tests.
