Pronghorn Antelope Hunting

The reasons people hunt antelope are as varied as the people who hunt them. An antelope is a great animal to harvest for a beginning hunter, the price for a guided antelope hunt is more affordable than for other big game, or maybe you just want to check out hunting in the western United States.

Hunting these prairie speedsters is a blast! Not only is the cost a fraction of what you’d pay for most big game species, you’re virtually assured the opportunity of seeing lots of game. Plentiful animals make for great opportunities to make a shot so most pronghorn hunts result in a harvest. In fact, most of our hunts carry a 100 percent success rate on these prairie rockets.

Of course, if you are an experienced hunter, you’ll still find an antelope hunt a delightful change of pace due to the all day hunting action and lower elevation associated with these hunts. You may still do a lot of walking, but the country is quite gentle in comparison to hunting for a trophy mule deer or trophy bull elk. Besides, crawling through sagebrush and prairie grasses is a heck of a lot easier than climbing through the deadfall, by any estimation.

Most antelope bucks taken will boast antlers in the 12-inch to 14-inch range, but there is always the possibility for a larger animal with horns ranging in length between 16 and 18 inches. Our ranches are carefully managed for trophy potential animals so offer a realistic chance at a bragging size antelope that exceed the Boone & Crockett Club minimum for record book entry.
